Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of ClassTempo's platform and services. By using ClassTempo, you agree to comply with this policy. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Permitted Use

ClassTempo is designed for educational purposes, including:

  • Delivering interactive presentations and lessons
  • Conducting polls, quizzes, and assessments
  • Facilitating classroom discussions and engagement
  • Tracking student participation and learning outcomes
  • Creating and sharing educational content

2. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, share, or create content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
  • Contains hate speech or discriminates against any group
  • Is sexually explicit or pornographic
  • Promotes violence or harm to any person or group
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Is spam or unsolicited commercial content
  • Violates any applicable laws or regulations

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not engage in activities that:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Share account credentials with unauthorized users
  • Circumvent any security or access controls
  • Use the service for any non-educational commercial purpose
  • Violate the privacy of other users

4. Student Data Protection

When using ClassTempo with students, you must comply with applicable privacy laws including FERPA and COPPA. Specifically:

  • Obtain appropriate consent for student participation
  • Only collect data necessary for educational purposes
  • Not share student data with unauthorized parties
  • Follow your institution's data protection policies
  • Report any suspected data breaches promptly

5. Account Responsibilities

As an account holder, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring authorized users understand and follow this policy
  • Promptly reporting any unauthorized access or security concerns
  • Keeping your account information accurate and up to date

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create using ClassTempo. However, you must ensure that:

  • You have the right to use any content you upload
  • Content does not infringe on others' intellectual property
  • Proper attribution is given where required
  • You comply with any licensing terms for third-party content

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to us immediately at abuse@classtempo.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

8. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any violations of this policy, including:

  • Warning the account holder
  • Removing violating content
  • Temporarily suspending account access
  • Permanently terminating the account
  • Reporting illegal activities to law enforcement

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of ClassTempo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
